So, you want to try out false lashes. You take them out of the box, put some glue on the strip, can't get them to stick if your life depended on it and the next thing you know, you have glue all over your eyes. Now, your eye makeup is ruined and lashes are a clumpy, glued together mess. It's a truly tragic situation that we have all been in at one point in our lives. Let's rewind and start over...
Half sets of lashes. Game. Changer. Having a shorter strip to work with makes this daunting task so much easier AND (bonus) faster! Follow my steps below to achieve a glamorous look that's fit for a beginner!
1- start with a set of lashes that are shorter on the inner corners and gradually get longer toward the ends. Cut them in half. You will only be using one of these halves.
2- Bend the band to get it as flexible and pliable as possible so it fits the shape of your eye. Place a small amount of glue on the band and wait. One of the biggest mistakes people make when applying lashes is not letting the glue get tacky and then it slides all over. Wait ATLEAST 30 seconds but I recommend a minute.
3- Using tweezers, place the shortest part of the lash halfway along your natural lash line and finish up at the outer corner of your eye. You may also need to pinch the false lashes closer to your natural lash line using the tweezers.
To finish off this look, apply black liner over top of the strip lash band, pop on some mascara to blend your lashes with the falsies & BOOM! Simple as that. I hope this tip helps you to amp up your eyes and feel a touch more glamorous for any special event!
