Travel Essentials

My family and I are heading out of town tomorrow morning for the long weekend and yesterday, I started the dreaded process of packing. UGH. I'm still getting this whole Mom thing down and I'm wondering why nobody told me how stressful it is to pack for your baby! So many things to remember. My brain felt like it was functioning at about 25% by the time I was done.

It's very tempting to skimp on products while packing for yourself. Less to pack, less to worry about. My advice is DON'T do that. Traveling can be hard on your skin so now is the time to take extra good care of it. I decided to share everything that I will be taking with me on our trip. This may seem excessive but you only have one face so I say take care of it!

A couple of these products are on the pricier end but the rest are either drugstore finds or pretty affordable!

First things first I ALWAYS have my Clarisonic with me. It's just what works best for me to cleanse my face with.

Cleanser: Use whatever works for you but I have been using the same one forever. It's nothing fancy but removes my makeup so well.

My pick- Cetaphil Facial Cleanser

Makeup Remover Wipes: I use these before cleansing to get off my eye makeup.

My Pick- Neutrogena Makeup Removing Wips

Daytime Moisturizer: You will want to use something with SPF during the day. Preventing sun damage is the key to a youthful complexion!

My pick- Image Skincare Prevention Daily Hydrating Moisturizer

Eye Cream: I use this as a preventative measure. I don't need something that is going to work miracles, just ensure I don't get wrinkles as I age! This one has been working great for me and actually removed some fine lines!

My Pick- Olay Eye Lifting Serum

Night Cream: I switch up my night creams often based on what my skin is needing. Right now I'm using a pricey one! I'm sorry but it's amazing! I haven't splurged on the whole bottle, just some samples so if you want to try it, head to Sephora and ask for a sample of it.

My Pick- Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Cream

Spot treatment: Blemishes always seem to pop up while on vacation or heading to an event, right?!? Why is that? Anyways, I always keep a spot treatment on hand for those times. My choice is an oldie but a goodie.

My pick- Oxy Spot Treatment

Sheet Masks: I'm constantly using these! I'm obsessed. Recycled air on planes can be SO drying for your skin so when I travel I like to have some hydrating sheet masks with me. I use a ton of different brands but for this trip I picked some up at Target.

My Pick- Que Bella Sheet Masks

Facial Treatment Oil: Last but not least! This is the one absurdly expensive skincare item that I use but I CAN'T HELP IT! I love it.

My Pick- Sunday Riley U.F.O. Clarifying Oil

Alright, so by now you probably think I'm super high maintenance and I can't argue with you! My skin is the one thing that I will invest some time and money into. Like I said before, you only get one face! I'm going to try to post a couple times while I'm away but if for some reason that doesn't happen, I have loads of fun stuff coming when I return!

XOXO,

Meg
